When the wine is becoming a fan of cinema, the vintage are becoming stars !

Do you want to do a soiree around wine and cinema ? No problem…but be careful with which guest you will drink, it could be dangerous ! When the cinema invites itself to your table…

Ratatouille-wineSay that you bring the wine for a gallant rendezvous, a touch of humour can be appreciate with this Chardonnay, easy to drink, dedicates to the famous small rat chef, Ratatouille ! It shows your childish and sensitive side behind your strong armour…We owe it to a wine french brand who had the idea to create this cuvee to pay tribute to our cook…or to get children drunk ! Indeed, that’s the thought to the Oenological Institut of California which has filed a complaint against the french company, which had to remove for sale his brand ! It would encourage children to drink wine…

star trekFor a dinner between friends, with nostalgical-nerds or with my friend Soso ;-) , Viansa Winery (Sonoma, in California) has created a wine to the effigy of the series Star Trek. They offer a range of 3 cuvées: Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese, each one with a label paying tribute to episodes of the series: The City on the Edge of Forever, Mirror Mirror and The Trouble with Tribbles. But as we are a very regulated country about our sacrosanct label, we can’t buy it in France, then if you are really passionate, you can do it here. But be careful, if someone asks you to come with for a dinner a Wednesday evening, beware ! Isn’t it Ms Pignon ?

Well, now you have to take care with who you want to drink this bottle. If he is a really good friend and you have a common passion for the psychopath Hannibal Lecter, no problem, otherwise… Indeed, the cinematic society Alamo Drafthouse has created 2 wines to celebrate that legendary character of “The silent of the lambs”: “Cannibal Chianti” and “Suit Yourself Pinot Grigio”. However, if you are invited and the host proposes you for the menu liver and fava beans, RUN AWAY !

For a killingly funny wine and talk about Omar and Fred, Fabien Jouves of Mas Del Périé has found the good one: “Tu vin plus aux soirées”. That 50% Malbec and 50% Cabernet Franc makes a reference to the famous SAV of these guys. The name is great, the label charming, so a really good invention !

Without forgetting “You fuck my wine ?” from Taxi Driver, that I already talked in that article. Then, Anthony Hopkins, Disney, Robert de Niro and Spock, this is something to have a great soiree !!!
